Meet Mrs. Weishaar
Hi! My name is Diana Weishaar. I have been at LOE for 20 years. Before moving to Paducah, KY, I taught in Tennessee and Illinois. My experience has included teaching grades K-5 and resource classes including special education and gifted. Before returning to the classroom in 2013-14, I was the RTI coordinator for four years. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BS in Elementary and Special Education. AT UT, I received a gifted and talented endorsement. After moving to Paducah, I received a master's degree in reading at Murray State and in 2005, I became a National Board Certified teacher.
My family includes my husband, Dave, Kyle, Katie, Stephen (her husband) and three beautiful grandchildren. Their names are Daley, Elijah, and Edy Rose. We all live in
Paducah except my son who lives in California. I take care of Kyle's cat, named Cat Stevens as Kyle travels a lot with his job.
Lone Oak Elementary staff, parents, and students are what I consider a part of my extended family. There is no other staff that compares to LOE. The genuine care and concern for our school is like no other. The children I have during the year become like my own because of the deep bond I feel with each and everyone of them. This bond is extended to the families of the students in my classroom because of the important role we share in the development of your child's life. To me, there is no other greater job than shaping the life of a child and always having an opportunity to extend your family with wonderful people!
